I am a fine art photographer, that specializes in black and white photography. When I say this, it does not mean that I just solely point and shoot. I specifically take photographs of people but occasionally take pictures of objects or things. Human beings are an intricate species, and we are strikingly different from each other. What characterizes people is sometimes based on their personal stories which makes it a compelling experience for me behind the camera as well as my subjects tapping into their personal stories through each photoshoot. Fine Art Photography is an art form that requires you to be still and present in the moment so that the photos that appear within the lens, showcases intentionality, authenticity, and creativity. My work focuses on showcasing a subject or objects from a perspective that displays hidden or not so obvious details that convey a message that is sometimes spiritual. 


Throughout my journey of photography, I started off with taking photographs that had more of an obvious meaning behind it, but over time, the themes and messages became more complex, the more that I practiced my craft. Some themes that I focus on with my photography pertain to Christian messages that demonstrate and bring awareness to the horrors of being consumed within the current secular society/world. This has been shown through my subjects' raw and honest emotions. In my latest photobook that I created, I used props that focus on my subjects' stories. 

 


I am a writer. I write horror fiction short stories. This love for this genre started when I was a child. I was introduced to the genre, at a young age. The first horror movie that I have ever watched was the original Children of the Corn (1984). Being introduced to the genre at a young age, has set the foundation for my own stories.

I found my love for writing horror stories when I was in community college. I realized that I had a knack for writing horror stories in my creative writing courses.

I truly love the art of writing. I love the art of writing sentences that are meant to state a message and/or emote a feeling.

Through my work, I always try to be intentional and showcase a level of depth in each written story.

Being a photographer and a writer, being good at what I do is a privilege, it is a gift from God. I won't take it for granted.
